training and experience
Genevieve worked as a Developmental Disabilities Care Coordinator and Supervisor while earning her undergraduate degree. Upon completion of her Master’s degree, Genevieve began working for a community mental health center. In her early agency years, she provided case management to families with school-aged children struggling with mental health symptoms. She was often utilized as a mental health advocate and educator. Her case management background gave her a wealth of experience in working with the Missouri Department of Mental Health, Division of Family Services, school systems, psychiatrists and a diverse number of families.
Genevieve has provided individual and family therapy for the past six years. Most of her clients have come to her for support with grief/loss, attachment injuries and traumatic experiences. She also specializes in treating phase of life problems or other adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression and child behavioral issues. When working with young children, Genevieve prefers to include the parents in the treatment process as much as possible.
Genevieve lives with her husband and young daughter in St. Louis, MO. She enjoys crocheting, spending time outdoors and seeing live music. She plays tennis at a local park in the warm months and she belongs to a book club. When her schedule allows, she travels to see her siblings, nieces and nephews.
