training and experience

Catherine is fascinated by neuroscience and is currently participating in Dr. Bruce Perry’s Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics Training. This research-based approach recognizes and teaches therapeutic techniques to increase specific brain functioning, which will in turn help with a healthy regulation.

Before her current role at Great Circle, she worked as a therapist at Kids in the Middle, facilitating group therapy for children experiencing adjustment issues related to a parent’s divorce or separation. Additionally, she was a group and individual therapist in Saint Louis city schools for children experiencing a number of family transitions as well as trauma. Therapy emphasized expression of emotion and development of effective coping skills, while also addressing the specific presenting concerns of each child.

In her free time, Catherine enjoys reading up on the newest therapeutic topics, going to concerts, listening to music and spending time with friends and family.
